We have two of these giant first aid kits packed with odd and unusual items that I'm not prepared to use, maybe the tracheotomy tube. Dad was an MD, and this is part of his legacy. I should have brought the kit with me to the installation, it wouldn't have prevented anything but it sure would have been impressive. In any case, I'm well and slowly getting back up to speed.

Here's a nice little furniture project. This tiny table, only 18 inches tall, is designed to fit between two low slung wicker chairs and to be used to put tea cups and snacks on. The top oval is a removable tray with the lower trays being pull out shelves. The bottom of the trays will likely be laminated with Abet Laminati's rice paper "formica" that I have left over from another project if I can find it.  ...

Well, Mara has gotten most of the finish onto the door job. Here I'm chopping a mortise for the lock.   And, custom jobs come with custom problems, like finding the right sized extension ring for a lock that's really designed for aluminum doors that one sees used in retail shops. Nice skies. Jupiter, Venus, the Moon, and if you look at the horizon, Mercury. I don't know where Earth is. In other news, Mara is applying the finish to the doors. She's using Sikkens Marine and is fussing with it. "Gloppy, with a heavy iron pigment for sunscreen which hides the grain", she says. Gosh, the wood grain looks like the horizon. What does it mean?
