Rocking the Boat.

This from Mara:

"It has taken me 10 years to make a saddle for my fruit bowl. It is a fresnel lens [From a street lamp] from the old Austin Airport. It has been rolling around our counters for years. I decided to do something and then Jueri said let me make something and I said, "No, I want to have some fun." Listening to him made my design totally different than what I stared out doing. Not bad for some really bad left over walnut that would have ended up barbecue. It was a weird clamp up on the gluing. I decided to use the bowl to pinch the pieces down so I had to clamp it to the table top just short of breaking it. Then the lateral pressure would drive the pressure down.

Jueri likes that there is still some rock to the boat."
