My, it's been a while since I've updated the blog, since August 2013 to be exact. For my friends at Hiatt & Kramer I've made a few pieces as well as re-familiarizing myself with cabinetwork. I worked in their shops for 2 months on cabinets for 12 apartments which once again revealed that I'm not especially fond of straight cabinetmaking. On the other hand I've learned a lot about how cabinets are done today as opposed to how they were done during the 70's, and of course it is fun working with a team, especially when they are friends. Here are some of the projects I've been doing for Hiatt & Kramer aside from the apartment cabinets.
A showcase for a jewelry store. Here's the carcass.
I've no shots of the completed piece, but the top section was all glass with sliding doors on the inside.
And here is a tall case for the same jewelry store, again I don't have shots of the piece finished as the final work was done at Hiatt & Kramer.

Hi there, was just visiting our friends, Tom / Snap & Beth Besson and dining table you made should be in our house but I don't think they will trade with us.
pecan slab top, half trunk as part of horizontal base. Can you make something similar? 6' long, 30- 34" deep? Natural pine and/or alder?
thanks

Sure, I’d love to make another table like that. I’ll send an email and let’s see.
